We were fortunate enough to spend three weeks in Spain over the summer. It was our first time going back to Barcelona since we moved away from there in 2015. Lots of friends had had kids over the last couple of years that we hadn’t met and old friends who have also moved away were visiting the city at the same time. It was amazing to catch up and see old friends, and see Barcelona again. The images here are from some amazing towns in Catalunya – just a couple of hours outside Barcelona – Cadaques and Vall de Nuria. Two gorgeous places. Cadaques is on the coast in the Costa Brava very close to the French border. It’s a fishing village with stone walkways and white-washed homes. One of the most beautiful Mediterranean towns I’ve ever seen. And just a two-hour bus or car ride from Barcelona. The other is Vall de Nuria – a small town in a valley in the Pyrennees. It is quiet and peaceful and oh so beautiful. We took a train there from Barcelona. It was so easy to get there! Vall de Nuria is a place we had wanted to visit while we lived in Barcelona and just never got around to it. I’m so happy we made it this time around.
All of these prints and some more are available for purchase online. In the wake of the attack in Barcelona last week, a city I hold near and dear to my heart and a place that still feels like my home, I’ll be donating 15% of the proceeds from each print sold to the Spanish Red Cross. You can see the images and order directly from here.
