I grew up in Orange County, Southern California and lived there until I was 29 years old, yet I never made it to Catalina. It’s a little over an hour and a half ferry ride from the ports I lived near. So really, I have no excuse! It took me living in Dallas and having a client fly me there for a proposal session to finally see this beautiful place. It has the feel of a small beach town but unlike one I’ve ever seen. Everyone knows everyone and people are super friendly. I took some shots around the island on some 35mm film. These are a few shots I loved. Simple, but it reminds me of the serenity the island exudes.
