My niece came over the other night and was wearing a super cute knotted headband – black velvet with jewel-toned rhinestones. I tried it on and it made me feel instantly cool (btw, she’s 7). I thought knotted headbands which seem to be popping up all over the place add such a cute element to any outfit, and can make a bad or blah hair day a good one.
Target has some cute and affordable options (I would not rule out looking in the girls’ section either!), and Madewell has some cool ones as well. I was looking around online and went to Anthropologie’s site. I stumbled upon one bridalesque knotted headband. I thought it was such a cute and fun accessory to put on for your reception to mix things up a little.
Here it is:
I mean, isn’t that just so cute and fun? Check out the Llani Carey Headband here.
Of course while perusing cute knotted headbands, I came across other fun wedding day accessories that were so pretty that I’d like to share here.
These Volo Hair Pins are dainty and add a bit of whimsey to any look:
Another headband with a 1960’s Jackie O. vibe, the Lele Sadoughi Bonham Headband:
And these sweet floral hair pins that look delicate and unique, Florelle Hair Pins:
I found all of these at Anthropologie, but you can find many more at BHLDN (including these). Even if you go the more traditional route and wear a veil for your ceremony, you can always switch it up to something fun and even edgy for your reception. How cute would letting your hair down and adding a headband be when the party gets going? What do you think?
I also want to add that BHLDN was not around when I was planning my wedding. Had it been, I would have loved to wear one of their gowns and cool headpieces! If I were getting married tomorrow, I’d probably choose something simple yet pretty and timeless like this. Maybe even a jumpsuit like this! Would you ever?
