It was such a pleasure to photograph Haley, David and sweet little Honey. I was excited when Haley suggested having their engagement session at the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge near downtown Dallas, the iconic landmark. It’s a pedestrian bridge, which makes it a great and easy spot to have a session. There are also lots of people out and about so it’s a nice spot for a stroll with a view of the Dallas skyline.
I’m sure you might not recognize the lush greenery as being part of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in downtown Dallas. To add some variety to Haley and David’s session, we started at Twelve Hills Nature Center. Have you ever been? It’s small and tucked away behind a neighborhood and school, but it’s so pretty and peaceful. Great for a nice nature walk OR an engagement session! 😉 I’m sharing a few of my favorites from both locations. Dallas is a great city when you want a good mix of nature and urban landscapes for a session.
When it’s time for you to decide on a spot for your engagement session, I recommend choosing a spot you love to visit. Or like in Haley’s case, you can choose an iconic Dallas spot you simply think is cool. She had seen a session shot there before and loved the idea for their session. And also, you’ll notice they did a little wardrobe change. Another excellent idea to add some variety to your photo gallery.
This sweet and beautiful couple will get married next year. I’m so looking forward to it! I love getting to know couples through their engagement session and then getting to be a part of their big day.
