We visited Rome last week for a few days and had such a great time (aside from getting ill while I was there). The first time I visited was about twelve years ago. My best friend and I backpacked then and while we did a lot and saw a ton, I for some reason didn’t remember the city being as beautiful and charming as it is. Or that’s at least the way I saw it this time. The history is overwhelming and the streets are just gorgeous and so romantic. And the people! Everyone is so nice and easy-going in Rome. I am in love with Italian people! I think I may have been Italian in a past life. We tossed some coins into the Trevi Fountain over our shoulder which is supposed to mean we’ll return one day. Hopefully very soon.
